As Jefferson County's only domestic violence shelter and the first in Colorado, the mission of Women In Crisis is to assist women and children in developing options as they re-establish their lives free of abuse through shelter, counseling, advocacy and education.

- Community education on domestic violence
- Weekly support programs and educational presentations in the mountain areas
July 2007 - June 2008 Accomplishments:
- Provided 8,187 nights of shelter and supportive services to 207 women and 163 children.
- Responded to 7,136 total calls (including crisis calls and 3,485 calls for legal advocacy).
- Had to deny shelter to 413 families because the shelter was full.
- Provided "How to Help" workshops to 37 friends and family members of domestic violence victims.
- Assisted 1,037 victims (188 residential and 849 non-residential) of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking through the Legal Advocacy Program.
