Gemini is an adolescent center providing, in a structured environment, emergency shelter, counseling, education, 24-hour referral line, aftercare and street outreach to homeless and runaway youth. Youth, ages 11 to 17 who cannot live at home because of unsafe situations, can stay at Gemini for up to 90 days.
Gemini's goal is to keep youth safe and reunite them with their families when possible, or to help them find other living arrangements. Services include:
- Crisis shelter and care
- 24-hour crisis hotline
- Street outreach to offer services to runaway youth in Boulder County
- State-certified school
- Individual and group counseling
- Aftercare services
- State-approved day treatment program

July 2008 - June 2009 Accomplishments
- Provided 5,106 nights of shelter and services to 227 youth, including 93 runaway and homeless youth.
- Made 3,365 contacts with homeless and runaway youth through street outreach in Jefferson, Adams and Boulder Counties.
- Gave 120 educational presentations about runaway issues to 2,964 students in area middle and high schools and 57 to audiences from local civic and community groups, including law enforcement. This is a total of 177 educational presentations to 3,796 persons.
- Provided educational and therapeutic services to 14 youth in the day treatment program.
- Provided parenting classes to 5 parents.
- Assisted 2,289 youth and adults via the 24-hour information/referral hotline.
