Yacht Club Salon Customers Focus on Family Tree
By the nature of her job, a hair stylist spends almost as much time listening as she does cutting and conditioning. She listens to a client’s narration of daily events, family developments and – most of all – list of concerns.
Heidi Casler, owner of the Yacht Club Salon at 6790 Sheridan Blvd. in Arvada, recognized one recurring theme from both clients and the stylists themselves: They expressed frequent concern about the well-being of women and children in the community who far too often considered themselves powerless to escape abusive situations. Eager to demonstrate to her customers that the Yacht Club Salon is more than just a place to get a haircut, that it is a valued part of its customers’ lives, Casler turned her attention to Family Tree.
“We want our customers to know that we share their concerns, that we listen to them, and that the Yacht Club Salon appreciates the opportunity to be an active part of this community,” Casler said.
The Yacht Club Salon, which provides a full range of hair styling, skin care, nail and massage services at its boutique, recently held an event called “Stylin to the Nines,” in which all revenues from the day’s activities went to Family Tree.
The staff and stylists serve both women and men, offering the most current and classic styles and haircuts. The Yacht Club also offers hair coloring, re-texturizing, conditioning and extensions, plus a wide range of hair products. For information, go to www.yachtclubsalonandspa.com.
Family Tree expresses its appreciation to the Yacht Club for selecting Family Tree as beneficiary of their “Stylin to the Nines” event.
