POSITION: Special Education Teacher
Gemini School, 1400 Simms Street, Lakewood, CO 80215

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Education preferred along with 2-3 years of experience with youth.  Special education license or TTE is required.

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the education, supervision and milieu management for up to thirty students from the ages eleven to seventeen.  The Special Education Teacher works on a team with one other teacher as well as two Youth Treatment Counselors.  Special Education Teachers are required to teach classes, attend client meetings and amend Individual Education Plans (IEP's) for students.

SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40-hours, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Due to the nature of our programs, upon hire all staff must submit to a CBI fingerprint background investigation and a Colorado Department of Human Services child abuse check. Most positions also require a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and are subject to Family Tree's automobile insurance criteria.
