POSITION: Outreach Advocate

DIVISION/PROGRAM: Domestic Violence Services-Domestic Violence Outreach Program

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services or related field or equivalent
training and work experience. Two years experience working with victims/survivors of domestic violence preferred.
Must have some knowledge of trauma-informed practices and basic mental health issues. Must have excellent oral
and written communication skills; demonstrated public speaking skills are necessary as this position requires the ability to provide educational trainings in the community. Basic computer competency necessary.

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing advocacy, individual and group support and education
for survivors of domestic violence. Must demonstrate a commitment to serving and working with all populations and
people. This position is also responsible for participating in outreach activities designed to inform the community of the
dynamics of domestic violence, Family Tree's Domestic Violence Support Services, and to engage survivors in those
services. Some evenings required; ability to be flexible with schedule is preferred.

SCHEDULE:
Full-time, non-exempt (40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with some nights and weekends)

POSITION: Bilingual Case Manager

DIVISION/PROGRAM: Adams TSF/Child and Youth Services

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a human service related field plus one year of experience working with multiple issue families and children, low-income and/or families receiving TANF assistance preferred.  Must have strong computer skills; prefer Word, Excel and Access experience.  Prefer knowledge of Adams County and other metro Denver area resources.  Experience in providing services to immigrant Spanish monolingual families is preferred.  Fluency in oral and written English and Spanish is required.  Must be able to work independently in clients’ homes, in the community; able to establish and maintain working relationships with various community providers.  Must have access to acceptable transportation on a daily basis for home visits and various off-site meetings.  Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license, car insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle record.  Must clear background checks with Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Central Registry.  

POSITION SUMMARY: To increase the stability of families receiving Child-Only TANF by providing time-limited case management, including assessment, crisis intervention, referrals to community resources, financial assistance, follow-up, and emotional support.  To track data pertinent to the above activities, the client population, and the impact of the service.

SCHEDULE: Full-time, non-exempt, 40 hours per week.

preferred. Previous employment or internship with homeless families and individuals with multiple barriers and
individuals desirable. Understanding of the dynamics of homelessness, domestic violence, mental illness, and co-occurring
disorders as well as knowledge of community resources is strongly desired. Ability to work evenings and/or
weekends as needed.

preferred. Previous employment or internship with homeless families and individuals with multiple barriers and

weekends as needed.

SCHEDULE:

POSITION: Treasure Trunk Thrift Store Sales Clerk
DIVISION/PROGRAM: Treasure Trunk

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide assistance to customers, price goods, process merchandise in donation centers (indoor and outdoor), stock shelves and maintain the organization and cleanliness of the store.  Fast paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: Retail and/or customer service experience preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrates a positive attitude.  Has the ability to multi-task. Comfortable dealing with general public. Is respectful to all coworkers, customers, clients and donors. Trustworthy and self motivated.  Believes in Family Tree’s inclusion statement. Some heavy lifting required.  Bilingual preferred.

SCHEDULE: Part-time, 10-12 hours per week, Wednesday 9:45-6:15 and Thursday 2:00-6:00 pm.

POSITION: PTP Master’s Intern Supervisor

DIVISION/PROGRAM: Domestic Violence Services-PTP

POSTION SUMMARY:Supervision of 18 to 25 master level student interns performing the tasks of supervising parenting time sessions between a child and an adult and ensuring safety (physical, mental and emotional) for the child, and in some cases, adult victim.  Interns are completing documentation and providing feedback to parents. THERE IS NO THERAPEUTIC/COUNSELING COMPONENT IN THIS POSITION. This position ensures that interns are providing supervision of non-custodial parents that meets the standards of the Supervised Visitation Network, and are not providing traditional clinical services. Responsible for weekly supervision and evaluations of student interns at all Parenting Time Program (PTP) locations.  Assists the Program Director in ensuring quality program services through student interns, direct observation of service provision, and provision of ongoing training for intern volunteers.  Works with other Domestic Violence Services Programs to provide a continuum of services that are culturally sensitive and focused on safety and empowerment of victims of domestic violence. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree from an accredited university with two years post-grad experience. Licensure required, LCSW preferred.  Supervised parenting time experience or knowledge helpful. Knowledge of domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, child development, mental health and substance abuse issues and the dynamics of high conflict divorce upon children and parents preferred.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must have basic computer competency.

SCHEDULE: Schedule is flexible 20 hours/week with benefits.  Must be willing and able to work at all Family Tree Parenting Time Program locations. Requires reliable transportation, a valid Colorado Driver’s license and car insurance.
