Anyone can attend this free training to learn more about Family Tree's volunteer and intern opportunities.  We ask each volunteer to attend an orientation before getting started.  Orientations are held the last Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. (unless otherwise noted on the training schedule) at Family Tree's Administrative Office - 3805 Marshall St., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

This symposium will give you a comprehensive understanding of the foundations and dynamics of domestic violence (DV).  Workshops include DV and Special Populations, The Effects of DV on Children, Perpetrator Treatement, De-escalation and Conflict Resolution Skills, Trauma and Vicarious Trauma, and the Legal Systems Response to DV.  The workshops are spread out over five to seven days, typically in one calendar month.

Fee for the general public: $5 per workshop.  *Recommended attendance at all workshops per session.

This 3-hour workshop will explore the myths and realities of homelessness; give you local, regional and national stats on homelessness; and discuss ways in which you can help make a difference in reducing homelessness in your community.

Fee for the general public: $15

At-Risk Youth Training - This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
This training is divided into two parts: Child Abuse and Neglect and Runaway and Throwaway Youth. The training is interactive, and looks at the foundations and dynamics of At-Risk Youth, statistics, and ways in which we can reduce the incidents of child abuse and neglect, and runaway youth.
