  • Why do youth come to Family Tree Gemini?
    The majority of youth who come to Gemini has experienced some sort of family problems and/or peer problems. Some are scared, sad, depressed, lost or lonely.

  • What is Gemini life like for runaway youth?
    The self-referred runaway youth follow the same program as other youth referred to Gemini. They participate in many activities throughout the week, including groups, recreation, school, counseling and employment, when appropriate.

  • How long do runaway youth stay at Gemini?
    Due to funding, runaway youth are able to stay at Gemini for two weeks. This is usually long enough to help and support the youth in their transition back to a safe and stable environment.

  • How does Gemini help runaway homeless youth?
    Gemini has a case manager who works directly with the youth and their families upon their arrival. The case manager assesses the youth and helps them, in many cases, resolve conflicts with their families or to find alternative living arrangements in order to provide a safe and stable lifestyle for each person.
