POSITION: Parent Support Provider

DIVISION/PROGRAM: SafeCare®

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Human Service related field, plus one year of experience working with young children and their families. A comparable mix of education/experience will be considered.
  • Comfortable delivering interventions to families in the home setting. This may include going into homes that are cluttered, dirty, dark and not air conditioned.
  • Must be committed to and skilled at building relationships with under-resourced, at-risk families.
  • Open to learning and implementing curricula and to delivering a highly structured parenting skills training program.
  • Creative and flexible in service delivery, while maintaining fidelity to the model.
  • Open and responsive to supervision and feedback. 
  • Must have strong computer skills; prefer Word, Outlook and Salesforce or other web-based databased system.
  • Prefer knowledge of metro Denver area resources.
  • Must be able to work independently in clients’ homes and in the community.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with various community providers.
  • Must have access to acceptable transportation on a daily basis for home visits and various off-site meetings.  Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license, car insurance, and acceptable motor vehicle record. 
  • Must clear background checks with Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Central Registry.

POSITION SUMMARY: SafeCare Colorado is a structured, evidenced-based program with the primary goal to reduce child abuse and neglect. Parent Support Providers deliver a highly structured prevention program that includes observational assessment, modeling, and giving feedback to parents and caregivers.

SCHEDULE: Due to program participants’ availability, this position schedule requires flexibility. Provider’s schedules will regularly include afternoon and evening hours, occasionally, weekend hours. This is a 40 hour a week position, primarily Monday through Friday.
