POSITION:  Relief Supervised Parenting Time Specialist

SUPERVISOR:  Parenting Time Program Supervisor

POSITION STATUS:  Full-time, part-time, and relief non-exempt

SALARY RANGE:  Range 5

HIPAA ACCESS:   N/A

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor Degree in Human Services/Social Work/Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university preferred or equivalent training and work experience. Knowledge of the dynamics of high conflict divorce and domestic violence upon children and victim parents, child abuse and neglect, child development (infancy through adolescence) mental health and substance abuse issues.   Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  Flexible schedule with weekend and evening work.

POSITION SUMMARY:  This position requires supervising parenting time sessions between a child and an adult and ensuring safety (physical, mental and emotional) for the child and adult victim, in some cases.  Completing documentation and providing feedback to parents.  Must demonstrate a commitment to serving and working with all populations and people.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  This position requires strength sufficient to exert force up to 10 pounds occasionally. Ability to move quickly (standing, reaching, bending, or possibly climbing onto a play structure) to provide safety to children. Hand flexibility to protect a child from ingesting inanimate objects.  Able to speak and hear in ordinary conversation and groups.  Normal vision is required, with or without corrective lenses.

RESPONSIBILITIES        

  1. Adhere to Family Tree mission, vision, values, goals, and personnel policies.
  2. Adhere to Parenting Time Program procedures.
  3. Knowledge of Parenting Time Program and other services offered by Family Tree.
  4. Continually strive to increase knowledge of community resources, dynamics of domestic violence, high-conflict divorce, child abuse and neglect, and developmental needs of children.
  5. Supervise parenting time sessions. Complete parenting time documentation in a timely manner.
  6. Identify opportunities and threats related to the Parenting Time Program and report them to the Program Director, Division Director, and staff as appropriate.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of client information per Family Tree policies, HIPAA and state and federal laws protecting victims of domestic violence.
  8. Welcome clients and visitors, answer telephone, provide referrals, assist with tours as needed.
  9. Adhere to program goals and objectives for Parenting Time Programs.
  10. Represent Family Tree professionally in the community.
  11. Complete other duties as assigned.
