Another great way to support Family Tree is by hosting a drive, which is a unique way for individuals and groups to give back to their community.
How Can I Help?
Calling all community partners! Currently, Family Tree’s most pressing needs are non-perishable food, bottled water and full-sized hygiene items. Host a food drive or hygiene product drive to help us fill this pressing need.
Scan the list below for a complete list of drives that help fill needs within Family Tree’s programs.
Food Drives (Monthly Need): Help us replenish our walk-in services food pantry by collecting non-perishable items and bottled water for distribution to our clients. This is a high priority monthly need.
Residential Program Drive (Monthly Need): Help collect the necessary supplies to keep one of Family Tree’s three residential shelters running. Items include hygiene supplies, new bedding, laundry and cleaning supplies, and more.
Transportation Drive (Monthly Need): Help minimize the transportation barrier by collecting RTD passes, gift cards for King Soopers (can be used for gas + bus passes), gas stations or Walmart (gas), Uber or Lyft gift cards.
Financial Drive (Monthly Need): Hosting a financial drive with your friends, co-workers, or community group allows for flexibility and a dynamic response to whatever current needs arise for Family Tree clients.
School Supply Drives (Aug. & Jan.): Collect new school supplies for distribution to low-income families and children living in domestic violence shelters, homeless residential programs, etc.
Holidays of Hope (Nov.—Dec.): Shop and donate for the client shopping experience, host a gift drive, gift card drive or provide Thanksgiving food baskets.
Cold Weather Drive (Nov.—Feb.): Collect jackets, socks, hats, blankets, sleeping bags, gloves, mittens, hand warmers, etc. those who have to endure the cold winter months in the elements.
